A rat of the docks. A made man.
Lives in the iron gibbet on the dock and regards it as taken. Big for a rat, though still smaller than a fat cockatoo, and entirely unimpressed by being told otherwise.
He deals in information and accepts gold only — cold hard currency — and claims twenty brothers and sisters and connections behind him. When Chubs pinned him to the floor of the gibbet he became considerably more flexible.
He named the jail as the obvious place to look for the missing pirates (a great place to look for crumbs and occasionally gnaw on a dead prisoner), objected on principle to the suggestion that all rats can pick locks, and then produced a full lockpick set from somewhere inside his own fur and opened Lee Raggedy Carter’s cell.
He gets violently airsick. He is owed money.
“I will pay you back.” — “So will I.”
