Role: Head foreman of the silver mine; Char’s twin sister
Location: The Mining Camp
First met: Session 1: The Last Chain

A red-skinned tiefling in charcoal-smeared overalls, with a bright red miner’s helmet with a pickaxe painted on it and her horns curling awkwardly out around it. Red helmets mark crew leaders in the mine. She cares about her people more than the governor would like, and he says so.

Every party met her the same way: storming out of the governor’s office after being told you had your chance, now it’s the mercenaries’ turn. Then she took them up the volcano by mule train anyway. Her twin sister Char, the best excavator she has, had led the rescue crew into the mine and not come out. She looks a lot like me, except for some reason she came out blue.

She does not trust adventurers. In her experience they swarm in talking big, take everything not nailed down and leave the common folk to clean up. But she begged each party to bring her sister back, set up a triage station outside the caved-in mine, and at every table ended the day holding Char and apologising for having doubted them.

At each table

  • Session 1 (Table 1): She told the party about the cave-in and her sister on the ride up, and that Char hadn’t waited to be asked before going in. She knew Dan the dwarf (a stinky little fellow). At Simley’s suggestion she went down for workers, and had the entrance cleared by the time the party came out. I’m sorry I doubted you. I should have had faith in you.
  • Session 2 (Table 2): She showed the party the spiral-and-eye mark scratched into a cart, which the camp called graffiti, and hauled the dead out through the rubble on a rope. She knew the bronze cog worked the lift. At the reunion she went along with Blackadder’s story, told in Infernal, that she had hired them to bring her sister back.
  • Session 3 (Table 3): Bobby nicked her tail as she stormed past. On the trail she softened: My mother always used to say she was the dramatic one and I was the angry one. She told them the governor meant well, but the pirates’ only other currency was violence.
  • Session 4 (Table 4): She lifted the frightened Adam towards a saddle as if he were a child, apologised for her temper, and admitted that people had been disappearing, and not only miners. Brendan’s honour surprised her. At the end Argo gave her the governor’s silver letter opener to sell.
