Player: Stephanie (secondary character)
Race: Halfling
Class: Wizard (Level 1)
Background: Woodborn

Appearance

A great big pumpkin of a man — about four feet tall, with a belly so round he couldn’t applaud you even if he wanted to. His beard is long and layered in waves, so bright a red-orange it looks like upside-down fire, and beneath his hood his hair grows just as wild, though only at the sides. His skin is a peachy, reddish color; both eyes are hazel, one of them lazy.
He wears a long-sleeved dark orange tunic that just barely reaches his hips, under a long hooded cloak of dark forest green whose point curls to the side of his head like a stem. His trousers run to darker browns and greens — corduroy or velvet — paired with a matching vest whose buttons are never missing but always look ready to pop free, and simple, sturdy brown leather boots. He maintains his clothes with great care and takes real pride in his appearance. He just prefers everything a little too snug.

Origins

GoGo hails from the same village as Randoah of Oak, and was among those dragged into the cult of Mugdulbulb’s dungeon five years ago for the Trial of the Slime Lord — the lone survivor of his own group thrown into the cultists’ mad research. Where Randoah spent the years since wandering the Gloaming, GoGo went his own way, until the two crossed paths again and she caught him up on what had become of her. She convinced him to return to the area with her: she wanted to find her brother’s remains and finally give the skull she’d carried with her ever since a proper burial.

The Gloaming

GoGo and Randoah pulled together a group and went back down into the dungeon — but the two of them mysteriously woke some time later in the hollow of an oak tree, with no memory of a second trial, or even whether they’d made it inside at all. Whatever happened down there, if anything did, is lost to both of them. The group scattered afterward, and GoGo and Randoah went their separate ways once more.
Since then, GoGo has been carrying an omen that must be delivered to a halfling witch — the only one he knows of. He made his way to Lyohna, the fey settlement where he’d last known Randoah to be living, but found she’d already gone. From there he set off for Marin’s Hold to track her down and deliver the message — whatever it turns out to be.

GM Note

The “halfling witch” GoGo means to find may well be Randoah herself — she’s already proven a resourceful witch in her own right during the party’s escape from Castle Ravenloft. The contents of the omen are not yet determined; worth building out at the table.
