Player: Liam
Race: Goblin

Origins

One of forty-one children born to the same goblin father and mother (twenty-seven sisters, fourteen brothers), Cap grew up short on attention and long on scars, distinguishing himself less through cleverness than sheer bulk and a willingness to charge in first. He remembers his father best by his ornate pipe, carved from bone or ivory, smoked most evenings outside their family hovel while a small horde of children ran wild around him. Whatever else Cap has forgotten about his family, that pipe — and the man behind it — has stuck with him.
He wields a greataxe he refuses to be parted from under almost any circumstance, and by his own account his stats outside of raw strength are “horrendous.” He is not a subtle goblin: his armor announces his presence everywhere he goes, and sneaking rarely factors into his plans at all.
His real name hasn’t come up at the table yet — everyone, including his own player, has simply been calling him “Cap,” a nickname that causes no small amount of confusion alongside Captain Gor, the party’s other captain, and one Cap seems less than thrilled about sharing.

The Gloaming

Cap was caged in the castle’s kitchen alongside Captain Gor and Morgy, already bitten by Strahd’s curse before the party found and freed the three of them. Given the choice of one item to keep from his old life, he chose his greataxe without hesitation, having nothing else worth naming.
In the castle above, Cap found and briefly considered taking an ornate bone pipe eerily identical to his father’s, wedged into the helm of an animated suit of armor — deciding, in the moment, that finding it there was too strange to sit right with him. He fought the armor for it anyway once it turned on the party, and after it was destroyed, claimed the pipe along with a set of scavenged plate armor and, later, a bent golden crown pried from a coin-drowned baron’s tomb — after very nearly drowning in that same tomb’s coin hoard himself, dug out just in time by Morgy.
