Background
A Knight of Ydris travelling alone and unsupported, cast out by his own Grand Master and left with no chapter to return to. When Enki crossed his path he was carrying one last vial of the blood — the final one he would ever be issued.
Enki asked him for it. Stagg refused. Enki kept asking, and eventually Stagg relented and put him through the Red Vigil: less a ceremony than a survivable poisoning, which the order performs on squires precisely because young bodies have better odds. Enki drank it as a grown man, which by the order’s own reckoning should have killed him.
Stagg was open about his reasons. He wanted rid of the vial. And he knew that making a new Knight of Ydris without his Grand Master’s sanction — with his last allowance, on a full-grown elf who would almost certainly die of it — would enrage the man who had exiled him.
He never said whose blood it was. He called it the blood and did not elaborate. Enki did not press.

- He gave away the last of his supply. What does an exiled Knight of Ydris do once the blood runs out?
