Role: Priestess, Church of St. Terragnis
A stern, schoolmarm-ish priestess currently tending Marin’s Hold’s Church of St. Terragnis. Egrid told Ivek of Brother Kristoff, the priest she had taken over for, who vanished a week before the party’s trip to Count Demetrius’s castle after muttering about “an ancient duty” and chasing after the courier delivering the black invitations. She gave Ivek permission to search his cell, where he found a holy book scrawled with the words “he has returned” and a hidden brooch depicting a sword through a heart.
Note: Kristoff was recorded as “Father Christophe” in the earliest sessions. Same man — see his page under Castle Ravenloft’s NPCs.

Session 4

Egrid has turned the church into a command post for feeding the refugees camped outside the gate — collecting donations from townsfolk and farmers, ladling gruel at the gate herself, and ordering grain brought up from the silo whatever the guards say about it. She had given the party up for lost (“we already lost six people”).
Told by Ivek that Sister Geraldine and Brother Kristoff were lost, she said Kristoff was an old man who knew what he was getting into, and a kind soul.
Her visions have returned. She sees a woman trapped underground for a long time, who only wishes to rest. Egrid believes St. Terragnis is sending the visions so someone will lay the woman’s soul to rest, and asked the party to go in her place, since she is needed here. She does not know where; she thinks the woman was some kind of student, and her name was Jane. (The party suspects the Schola in the Woods — Mathilda’s folk-tale route ends at “the place of learning.”)
