Region: The Gloaming (exact location unknown to outsiders)
Notable Trait: Hidden — not always possible to find, even for those looking for it
Notable Craft: Weaving and basket-making, using locally abundant Tasar silk

Overview

A small, secluded fey settlement tucked deep within the Gloaming, home to a community of weavers and basket-makers who work with Tasar silk — an abundant local resource harvested from the forest’s many moths. Like much of the fey presence in the Gloaming, the village is not reliably findable; it seems to reveal itself, or not, on its own terms.
Randoah found her way to this village after years of wandering the woods alone following her escape from the Trial of the Slime Lord. The villagers took her in, and she learned their crafts alongside them, finding in their quiet company the first real peace she’d known since losing her brother and parting ways with her companion Burr. It was, for a time, somewhere close to a home.

Departure Gifts

When the black invitation to Count Demetrius’s party arrived, Randoah’s first instinct was to ignore it. The village encouraged her to go regardless, and outfitted her for the occasion:

  • A copper-colored dress of Tasar silk, tailored to fit close as a second skin
  • A cloak, gifted anonymously, embroidered with detail that gives the wearer the appearance of a giant oak moth when the arms are extended
The village saw her off with evident care — but also with a strange, unplaceable unease that everyone there seemed to share, in equal parts sadness and relief at her departure.
