Marsoom · Enforcer 3 (Cyberguard) · Homeworld Mavros
Appearance
A bipedal bovine standing well over six feet, with three dark oblong eyes — the third set in the forehead — antennae rising between the horns, a split tail, and fur in a vivid unnatural colour. Carries the badge openly. Eight months on the job at forty-six years old.
Background
Came to the badge late and by choice, and is still proving he belongs. A Cyberguard by conviction rather than career: technology is the great equalizer, and order protects the weak. Ward Seven is the test of that — a building where everything that happened to the patients was legal.
The Marsoom communal streak — strength and safety come through unity — sits unresolved: a herd he left, or one he is still trying to earn his way back into.
Loadout
- Invigorate — 15 HP healing pool, Bonus Action by touch; 5 HP clears Blinded, Charmed, Deafened, Frightened, Paralyzed or Stunned
- Cosmic Conduit — 2 uses; Vigilance only at this level (detects Constructs through walls at 60 ft)
- Cosmic Judgment — Cosmic Smite always prepared, once per Long Rest without a slot
- Cyberguard spells — Command and Shield, always prepared
- Peacekeeper — imbues a Ranged weapon: ignores Half Cover, and Cosmic Smite as a Bonus Action after a ranged hit; target saves vs Con or is Restrained for 1 minute
- Cybernetics — two of Dermal-Fused Armor, Optical Scanner, Pursuit Chassis, Vox Amplifier; swappable on a Long Rest
- Marsoom traits — Cratering Jump, Danger Sense, Herd Instinct, Mighty Horns (1d8 piercing), Split-Second Warning
- Proficient with Light, Medium, Heavy armour and shields
Notable
- The party’s non-lethal answer — Peacekeeper’s Restrain is an arrest, and Ward Seven is full of people who should not be shot
- Danger Sense means he cannot be surprised; automatically proficient in Perception
- A bodyguard by build: Split-Second Warning forces an attacker to reroll low, Herd Instinct adds 1d6 Force against anything that already hurt an ally
- Does not have Zone of Safety — that is Enforcer 6
- Sheet not yet received; the above is what the build gives at level 3
Compassionate Use
Captain of the Stargazer, which his mouse droid Fido flies better than any of the crew could. Came down on the Khymera farm’s security robot hard enough to throw it across the room, and finished it with a single tap and a crack of thunder. Spiked the farm’s control tower and found Khymera had been feeding its crops grey water from the lower levels. Lifted Calvin back to his feet twice. At Hope’s Reach his optical scanner saw through every door before the crew opened it; he hacked Vosk’s old terminal, traced the department’s money to Vosk’s nail salon, and in the cold room wrapped one of the risen dead in a restraining round like an arrest. Wanted to sell the evidence to the reporter for what it was worth.
