Role: Black-market trader / warehouse manager
Ensho approached the crew on their way into the colony, trying to sell them goods from his warehouse and insisting the colony was doomed regardless of what anyone did. He wears a fire-and-spear pin — the same symbol as the mysterious station broadcasts — though he brushed off questions about it. The Abbot was furious to learn Ensho had been trying to sell off colony supplies to outsiders, and marched on him with an armed escort of monks later in the session.
He was not arrested. On the night of the uprising, Carl watched Ensho walk up to the landing-field gate with three men carrying stun batons, open it with a badge as casually as a man arriving for a shift, and march Abbot Ben Shirayuki and an employee in a Straylight Computing jumpsuit into the space elevator at gunpoint. The capsule powered up and climbed toward the terraforming station with all of them aboard. Whatever the fire-and-spear pin meant, Ensho was wearing it for a reason — and he appears to be working for whoever is up there.
