Role: High Gardener of the Solarian Church, on The Farm
Born in Doptown, Ukko/Ukka harvested Sycorax as a child to pay off their birth debt, before joining the Solarians as a chemist and rising quickly to High Gardener — now overseeing the Farm on the Church’s behalf.
Ukko sought the crew’s help delivering two shipping-container loads of genetically modified apple trees to a nearby Neo-Buddhist colony, Siddhartha’s Peace — offering 1 Debt and enough oxygen credits to keep the crew’s families breathing for a year. The crew met with Ukko/Ukka at Quiet Contemplation, a teahouse on The Farm, the station level the Solarian Church runs and where most of the station’s food and O2 supply comes from. This was the job the crew ultimately took on. Ukko/Ukka leans sympathetic to the Soil faction, though one of his cardinals, the stern and questioning Jael, doesn’t. The crew walked in on Yandee handing Ukko/Ukka a parcel at Quiet Contemplation, with Jael watching the exchange — what was in it is unclear.
