Where: The Valley of Lost Bearings, on the second leg toward the dawn
Found: Session 2 Recap - Three to the Dawn
A line of stakes and rope across the sand, put there by someone trying to hold a bearing. One line simply stops, and where it stops lay:
- A journal with the Mad Monk Alistair’s verse copied into it word for word, among grocery lists and a note that the kids had to be picked up at nine and handed over to the ex-wife.
- A bleached skull and scraps of plain brown-and-white travelling clothes.
- An Adventurers’ Guild pin. He was one of the party’s own Guild.
- An empty canteen, unstoppered and bone dry (Lucia kept it), and a satchel with two dried beef rations, which the party took.
Korath found no burrows and no sign of a predator. He ran out of water.
The Baronet’s gate guards let slip in Session 1 Recap - The Baronet’s Commission that other groups had come before the party.
